If there is one thing we should have learned from the Covid-19 pandemic, it’s the fact that we have to appreciate and take better care of our natural environment. First of all, because we all missed spending time out there in the nature, while our movements were restricted in order to fight the spread of the virus. And secondly, because deforestation and the destruction of wildlife habitats are a major cause for the rise of virus epidemics or pandemics such as Covid-19.
Consequently, responsible tourism should be the way forward. BORNÉO À LA CARTE’ s tour operation has always been in line with the concept of community-based ecotourism. In addition, we had started a few little projects in the past, to assume further social and/or environmental responsibility. Some of our projects give travellers the opportunity to do their bit as well.
HERE you will find further details about our projects!
We are particularly proud of our latest project: a tree planting project to offset carbon footprints!
